| Membership Have some life experience? The Senior College at the University of Maine, Hutchinson Center provides a diverse curriculum of programs, classes and special events for those 50 years and older, along with their spouses or partners.You will enjoy subjects ranging from the intellectually challenging to the purely enjoyable.Classes meet every Thursday for six weeks during the fall and spring semesters and for four weeks during a January - February "Winterim" semester. The $25 course fee covers all books and materials; scholarship aid is available. Senior College offers its members an enticing array of field trips and special events. Whether your interests lie in exploring the history of Maine’s coastal towns, the architecture of Penobscot Bay islands,escaping to Quebec, taking in some theatre, or feasting on the foliage of the Great North, there is something for every taste and temperament. The Senior College campus is at the University of Maine, Hutchinson Center on the Route 3 approach to Belfast. Beautifully equipped and handicapped accessible, the campus has ample, convenient parking and is just minutes away from historic downtown Belfast. Senior College admits members regardless of race, color, sexual orientation and national or ethnic origin.
