Hiking YOUR Way Through the UK and Ireland

Have you wanted to hike along majestic but less-traveled paths in the UK, Ireland, or Europe with a small group of over 50-year-old hikers and a guide? Or would you prefer hiking shorter distances with an even smaller senior group, and focus on the culture and history of a region with a knowledgeable guide? Alternatively, might your preference be self-guided, multi-day hiking, staying in lovely B&B’s as you progress along the trail, while only carrying your day pack?

Based on 15 years of hiking in these countries, the presenter will describe the above three options for exploring unique hiking trails, and how each of the options can best serve your hiking preferences. She will also share her recommendations of the best hiking trails.

Instructor: Christy Gavitt

Ms. Gavitt has worked in international relief and development programs for 32 years in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. After returning to the U.S., she worked with the international division of the American Red Cross. She is currently a global health consultant and devotes her free time to hiking and scuba diving.
